I’ve heard plenty about Francine Rivers, so when a friend and fellow writer recommended Redeeming Love, I purchased the book and enjoyed all four hundred and sixty-four pages.
A friend and romantic suspense author recommended this book. Even though my reading list didn’t include the name of Francine Rivers, I took a step of faith and trusted my friend’s literary taste. As a result, Redeeming Love makes it to the top of my favorite reads of 2024. More than anything, I loved the extended metaphor of relentless pursuit and love demonstrated for people throughout the tapestry of the story.
The character, Michael Hosea, reminded me of Hosea and the Biblical book where Hosea goes after Gomer like God goes after Israel. Michael relentlessly pursues Sarah. His arms, like our heavenly father, are open to anyone who has suffered past trauma and struggles with lasting scars. He models a kind and loving husband who demonstrates unconditional love toward his beloved.
If you enjoy this book, you may appreciate additional Francine Rivers recommendations from my friend: A Voice in the Wind: The Mark of the Lion, Book 1, and The Atonement Child.
